Hope many of you can make it to help support this worthy event. SpeakEzy will be performing about 4pm and TUFF will be rockin out from about 6pm.
There will be some 6 or 7 bands plus Digger Revell and Lee Conway.
Should be a great day and more importantly we should raise some much needed funds for those Victorians who have lost so much.
Look forward to seeing your faces.
Nige.

John always has a fine lineup and almost always some unexpected treats. Bill can’t be there again due to Bass Player being in Murbah doing LUFFLEY but he would like to be down there. He still has the free meal for Two to pass on to Chrissie. Don’t miss it. Will write the details of the fundraiser pretty soon.
Last time Bill saw them, they looked like this. Then again, it was Xmas Party time.
Seems like now they’re backing MENTAL AS ANYTHING in at Cooly Hotel. Bill was at one of the Mentals’ first concerts down the Unicorn Hotel on Oxford St, way back in 1977 and they were Mental enough to come back to the Big Red Hotel in Devonshire Street where Billy were living with a mob of other folk. Bill don’t recall much more of the night, but it played it small part in setting the Mentals up and mebbe the HIGH NOON HEAT is on the same Rising Star. They surely have the same OOMPH !
Just came across HIGH NOON HEAT. These are some of the lads Bill was taken with at the XMAS PARTY. Once were ODESSA. Take a look on MYSPACE and FACEBOOK. Good looking men and last time Bill heard them they sounded Good as well. The name is HIGH NOON HEAT. The players are Grant Byrnes – Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Steve Badger – Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals
Rob Brown – Drums
Stu Beaumont – Bass
The Bass Player got his renewal of membership notice today. Billy didn’t. Then again, last year Billy got a Membership card and the Bass Player didn’t. In with the RENEWAL NOTICE is a letter re the AGM. which started last November apparently and is to continue on the 1st March 2009. Gee! That’s slow even for the Valley. Well now, there’s some important doings to go on so -
Bill is putting some of the details online here for you so you know what’s going on and what YOU can do to participate in OUR LOCALCLUB.
Accompanying this is a letter. Bill don’t know whether he has the right to put that online so he will just give you the skeleton. More details will for sure be available down at the Club.
The Directors are worried about the future viability of the Club. They say that they do not wish to see it closed down. Good reasons to attend the AGM and see what’s happening. They are looking for members with time and skills to offer.
In addition – and courageously so the Bill thinks – the Directors are also asking for members to attend the AGM and bring with them their
FOTO of Lily and Scrubby in 2007 at the Bilambil Blues Club.
Bill was thinking back to the Blues Club Days so he’s putting this audio up of one of Scrubby’s Songs from those days. Scrubby is still hot on the Northern NSW and Gold Coast Circuit . Hitting Byron Rails and Beechmont Blues Stomp. Brunswick Pub and Lennox. Check the Hillbilly Blues Bandits sites if you are heading out of the valley and feel like some Scrubby Blues.
AUDIOS ON SITE CAN BE PLAYED BY JOINING DROPBOX.COM - FREE MEMBERSHIP. BANDS OR ARTISTS - YOU CAN HAVE YOUR MUSIC ON SITE BY SENDING AN MP3 FILE TO nellibell49@gmail.com
