JULY FISHOS NEWS

A successful outing over the weekend, despite the  miserable weather on Saturday but did not stop dedicated Fishos  from wetting a line. A big bag of tailor, bream, swallowtail and flathead. On Sunday (weigh in) fish were raffled and sold  including a seafood tray in conjunction with the boys from the Bob Dylan Song Book Band .

APRIL WITH THE FISHOS

The Bill was down at The Club on Sunday April 6th. Once a fortnight is all he usually does. Mebbe once a week now that He don’t have to go to Brisbane City anymore. But this Sunday was the once a month BOB DYLAN SONG BOOK BAND. First Sunday of Every month except the month of May 2008 when 3/4 of the BDSB Band will be way up north at Wintermoon – a matter which The Bill ain’t well pleased about. Anyways, last Sunday Bill was down there trying to get the Bass Player’s gear into the Club when he encountered the surviving members of the BILAMBIL VALLEY FISHING CLUB’S Inaugural Outing. The Surviving Members didn’t look so good but the fish did. They has an Esky the size Of Bill’s old fridge Bertha and Bertha is big and fat. The Bass player has a good song about her on the ZARSOFF BROS MIXED BUSINESS ALBUM.

President Marc , Treasurer Chez and Flathead Catcher Juddy gave the Bill a rundown on the day. Don’t miss this Club. Fotos to come . Juddy had pulled in the Mighty Flathead . Bill thinks he says it was off Cabarita someplace but he’s pretty close mouthed about is as good fishermen are. The Bill could tell him of a spot or two down on the Bellinger – but he won’t. Theres a noticeboard up in the Bilambil Sports Club . Just enter your name and the next outing could have you right there with them. Billy heard them saying that you didn’t need your own boat so don’t be deterred . Heres a few shots of the Club Members. Lack of a boat need not deter you but one look at these guys might.
