!!!! NEW YEAR’S EVE 2009!!!
Bill is back on the grump as he puts a toe into the unknown waters of 2009. He’s already less than thrilled with the Tourist Paradise of the Northern NSW and after 2 days in a cabin in Casino, home he comes to Bilambil for New year’s Eve. Bass Player and the Bill head into Carool for New year’s Eve lunch. Being non-carnivorous, the choice of meals remains a little limited but the Ambience of the ILNAM ESTATE WINERY wins them over as usual. Views out to the Coral Sea. Bill didn’t know it were called the Coral Sea till his brief and unhappy sojourn in Tugun but so it is. Lunch went well bar the loud voice of the president of the adjoining table. Chrissie was serving and she lways brings a smile to the Bill as does Mark Quin the prop. Good start the NYE thinks Bill. Into Coolangatta for some wwell wishing and music and good food with friends. Then back to Bilambil. BACK TO BILAMBIL. Jamieson’s Restaurant – already closed by 11pm NSW time. Remember this is an area with options for celebrating twice on the Daylight Savings Border – but NOT in Bilambil. Bass Player and Bill are out in the Charade – doing the Loop – no such luck ! The CLUB IS CLOSED !!!! Why ??? Oh Why ???? Party on Rural Dwellers. There was more fun to be had in Casino and that’s not a good look. Friday Night ? Jan 2nd ? How about a newsletter or email list
How about a sign out the front of the Club so passersby know what’s going on ? How about something to eat and drink ? Bill’s been busy for most of a year or so. Now the memories come flooding back. Open the doors ! Let us in ! He’s mighty glad he don’t drink grog cause he don’t know where he would have got it last night.
