BILLY BLUE IS NOT IMPRESSED
Home from the Club and its a bit grim down there. The Music isn’t grim but the AUDIENCE is. The weather is Balmy. The food at Bob’s Bistro is good. The Music is Good. So where is the crowd. Billy don’t get it. He has come on home early to write it down. JB aint walking in because he’s real ill in Brisbane. He first introduced the Bill to the Club. Shouted him Tacos back when Viv had the kitchen and you could still smoke inside. Back when the dog gave High 5s and sat on a bar stool.
So – things have changed . Now we have Bob’s Bistro and its as fine as Viv’s kitchen was.
Take a look at Billy’s First site for The Blues. It was good then and its good now. Scrubby don’t think so. He thinks mebbe we should call it QUITS for a bit. Come on Music Appreciators. KEEP THE MUSIC IN THE VALLEY. We have phones out here now. It took one petition and one TODAY TONIGHT show – but we got Fones. Mebbe we need another petition. GIVE US BACK OUR MUSIC.
BILAMBIL DESERVES THE BLUES.
Billy has been looking about down there at the Club to see what’s happening. The Crowd, as he says, is mighty thin. The Bass Player reckons the Pool Table in the middle of the room has to go. The Jets over the way has their pool table out on the open air verandah. The Bass Player don’t like it stuck in the middle of the room like the Great Dividing Range . Mebbe the Pool Players don’t want to play while its there ’cause it puts them centre stage with the spotlight on them and not many of the Bilambileans are Eddy Charlton , Minnesota Fats ( according to the Bass Player Minnesota Fats is a pool player but he ain’t betting money on it) or the Original Great Player that Billy once saw at the Easter Show and whose name he cannot recall this late at night. They don’t seem to like playing between the Cafe and the Band.
The Band don’t like it there cause the Crowd is hidden way back down the Hall. The Crowd has taken to sitting around the Cafe tables at Bob’s Bistro where once they dined on the laminex tables down near the Music. Its a great atmosphere down the back with the blue table cloths. Couth it is. The Smokers are way back there as well. Outside by law of course. Trouble is , it locates them at telescope distance from the Musos as well.
