Come and party with us at The Cooly (upstairs) on Easter Sunday with The Tatts and Gold Coast band Pam Pam Pam, it`s gonna be huge.
Rose Tattoo has been at the top of the pile for years. The raw style of blues rock that the Australians manage to create out of a hot mix of slide guitars, pounding hooks with sharp and tight rhythm along with the unmistakeable voice of the front man Angry Anderson is what gives the fans a welcome feast in what is today a fast food orientated music business. The best thing about Rose Tattoo is: The band can take a punch and are full of vitality, they put every kick in the face behind them and still have the energy to carry on and deliver a new quality product.

HIGH NOON HEAT.

Bill is wondering. Any chance of the Club being open this Friday. Bill’s guessing not but he’s still hoping. Thinks it would be Johnny Carr’s Night and due to the Bass Player not doing LUFFLEY CAFE this week, Bill would have a chance to eat his free dinner which he won last time, mingle with some mates and listen to some fine music. If anyone knows whether its on or not, Bill would surely appreciate your making a note in the comment box.
Here’s a 2007 image from Bass Player with J.C.

Sunday saw the Glengarries on a boat on the Tweed backing HIGH NOON HEAT. Bill has heard some outrageous tales which he don’t doubt are true. One band member was so overcome with the event that he fell out of the car onto the Bass Player’s drive at the end of the day. If you noticed wavelets lapping your shore that was the tsnumani effect of Bilambil Music on the Water.
Next is Geordie Leach up with ROSE TATTOO at the Cooly Pub on April 5.
Happy birthday to all the ARIES Musicians of the Valley as well.

Bill noticed a poster in the Village Store for this weekend at the Club. A sad occasion is a memorial service but there’s celebration there as well. Bill didn’t know Ray but has heard about him over the years in the Valley. Check the Poster or ring the Club for details. BULLAMAKANKA AND FRIENDS will be performing there this weekend. Sunday 22nd.

Been talking to Johnny Carr and he says 250 people came through the doors and all up $2000 was made in Raffles and “other activities”. Well done Club on the “Activities” and Johnny Carr on getting the Musos corralled and sending ‘em down the chute to perform. 8 bands all up – mebbe 7. But a full nights entertainment was had by all. Bill had to take in a family wedding in Nerang and missed it, saw some sportsman on the fields as he was heading out and reckons the Valley did us proud. If anyone has fotos they would like onsite – send em on over.
